I got some extra goodies mounted on my M1028... Mounted a big ammo can behind my spare tire that holds my recovery gear... Mounted two jerry cans in the rear of my bed opposite my spare tire... Also mounted my Hi-Lift jack and a small shovel on my safari rack... Gonna get some of the stuff...
Are you talking about the square bar that is right behind the cab of the truck??? And it has loop anchors on each side??? If so I took mine off and still have it with the 2 long bolts to mount it.... I don't need it and would sell it to you, but I have no idea how I would get it to you...
Replaced the vacuum valve and adjusted it to "about right"... That was my problem (aside from cracked rubber hoses) it shifts like its suppose to now... I'm still gonna get a block made and get the specified adjustment made on it and also tweek my modulator a bit to dial it down to where its...
I've never used the big truck stop pumps, I don't mind waiting 5 mins to fuel up... As far as the lockable fuel cap... I live in good old Idaho Falls Idaho, population 60,000... Not that crime doesn't exist but fuel theft isn't a big thing out here... But that being said if there was one out...
Adjusted the vacuum valve and replaced the modulator and no change at all on my shifting issues... It seems like Im starting out in 2nd gear cause it only upshifts once at around 1700rpm, but the shift is weird... When the shift happens the truck kinda slows down a tad and then its a little...
Thanks a ton Warthog... I found this thread last night and have it saved on my favorites... After looking at your last pic showing you tightening up the bolts I went outside to take a gander at the position of my valve... Looked at it and the **** thing is almost sitting straight up (so fully...
I appreciate all your input Kieth_J... I have been reading other threads where you have shared such knowledge as well... THANK YOU... Gonna try adjusting probably this weekend at my buddies shop, he's got digital calipers and other fancy tools to aid in my efforts if I decide to make my own...
Throttle vacuum valve... Got it... Thanks... I'll get some tools in order and do some more troubleshooting... Also Im assuming the throttle vacuum valve and the throttle position valve are one in the same???
So anyways, replaced the old cracked rubber hoses... Solved the semi hard late shifts but arose the opposite problem... It now shifts a little early and seems a bit on the sluggish side... Pulled the modulator and it does not have an adjustment screw on the inside... I do indeed know about the...
Did check fluid level and hoses... Fluid level is good, but some of the rubber hoses were cracked... That's why I am replacing them and was going to use the replacement of these hoses as a starting point in solving my shifting issues... As Ive read on many threads that some other members had...
Am thinking about replacing all my vacuum lines today and seeing if that helps my shifting issues out that Ive been having as of late... My tranny doesn't seem to want to shift normally, it shifts way late from 1st to 2nd... When it does finally shift its a little hard, not a huge klunk, but not...
Yup I got them off fleabay... I just typed in CUCV CHEVY and searched in title and description... This is the title right beside the picture...(off roading tow strap kit bumper shakle pull 10 ton 3ft CUCV blazer K30 military) And actual picture from fleabay... Went mudding a few weeks ago and...
Received my LMC headlight harness and Wagoner BL's in the mail a week ago and got them installed on Friday... The (2) hot leads to the harness were a little short so I extended them to reach the battery... Other than that everything else was smooth sailing... Now I can see when I'm driving at...
So much useful advice fellas... Greatly Appreciated... Thanks a lot... The person selling it replied to my email and advised me that he has the tv bracket but broke a plastic piece on it??? My M1028 also has low miles and is running great right now, just seen this 700r4 for sale and I knew I...
Sweet... I'm liking the idea more and more... Is there anything tricky about the swap or is it pretty much straight forward??? Any tips or any other input would be greatly appreciated as this will be my first tranny swap...
