100.00 is the going rate.
Tell them that they have an "Isolated Ground" stud.
They will see the setup inside, there is a isolating ground washer that separates the alternator from contact(s)
Did you try switching them out?
They are identical just...
:idea:Is it a good idea to knock the check ball out?
I would think it serves some purpose...
Maybe to hold pressure, keep prime?
Heck if it's "a good idea to knock out the glass ball in the check valve"
:arrow:we should all do it???
:arrow:Someone will chime in with a replacement part number and location.
I cleaned mine carefully with break cleaner and a small nail,
I do believe however that my Return Line Check Valve was replaced with a steel setup when the Entire Injection Pump was rebuilt.
:idea:So my guess would be to...

I wish I had know to do the electric pump. Oh well...
The Lift pump is the second thing I did as preventive Maintenance.
The first thing I did was treat the heck out of the fuel and change the oil...
GET RID OF THOSE RESISTORS & DO THE BYPASS unless you feel as though you just have to jump someone or be jumped using the Military slave cable.
You know what, you can use NORMAL jumper cables! Do the Bypass!!!
I do not understand why guys continue to use those resistors!?
YES - Yes the bypass...
YES they can crap out on you.
Sometimes you'll get a warning like hard starts, No power.
Mine ended up starting then as soon as I tried to move it - it would die.

Run it a bit then before you do the take off process. Look for fuel in the Valley on top of the motor. This is the indication of bad o rings on the IP throttle shaft.
The Fuel Filter is an AC Delco TP 1006 Advance Auto parts for $16.00
Your best to just get this one the rest of us have...
Have the IP rebuilt, they start by leaking at the throttle shaft. You end up taking it all apart replacing those o rings and then your pump fails soon after anyways. If it's a rebuild already then that's your call. If it's the original IP and it's 25 years old UM-MM yeah rebuild Preventive...
I replaced with completely new RUBBER line 5.50,
Metal line had a crack in it.
You adjust the Vacuum Regulator valve back or forth
and then brass screw inside the Transmission Modulator Valve,

What do you use to knock out the Freeze plug (Technique)
I was thinking of using
a punch or screw driver
to one side to pop out the other?
turn clockwise I believe
Just turn it,
USE A BRIGHT LIGHT TO SEE DOWN UNDER THE COLD START SOLENOID.
you will hear it idle up as you turn it.
You are bumping up the idle about 200-400 RPM just listen for it.
Next push in the long screw adjustment for the fast idle solenoid -
You will see the...
