I just got a 07 m1152 and I was able to get it out of limp mode, it wasn’t getting power. The guy that bought it started cutting everything and disconnected some of the cables and snipped others.
Once I got it out of limp mode, I took it through all 4 gears but at 62mph, I was at 3300-3400...
It’s actually less, I can ship things in under 2 minutes normally with the scale, envelopes/boxes and tape. I also don’t recall specifically paying for the machine, just a contract per year for set amount of postage which we went over.
I wasn’t just talking about this but most businesses can just ship from their office and print a label for something like that really easily. I shipped using the Pitney bowes scale and something like that would be like $3.
I actually have had my M998 for almost 2 years now. I’m about to buy a m1152 and swap over my goodies. I want a 4spd and a turbo.
Having helped a friend with an LS swap, I think the prices charged for the dmax swap are crazy. I get it’s not cheap but you’re not going to convince me that it...
Steven, people need to learn how to work on these themselves. The average person can’t afford to send them to you or vaden, I get there are people that can afford it but plenty of others that just need to learn how to do thing themselves.
Humvees aren’t made out of unobtainium, I’m not going to steer someone away from using an expert if they aren’t mechanically inclined but 80-90% can easily be done by people if they have enough common sense and look at the Tm’s.
I’m looking at my hubs right now, you have to be careful but by...
Just buy one from someone that actually knows what they are talking about and no, it doesn’t need to be a company.
Mine ended up being from someone that bought it from an auction and I just made sure it was mechanically good. Luckily the guy who owned mine was a manager at a parts store.
Just...
So excuse me if I missed it but what lift did you get? I saw you did front and rear armada 4x4 springs.
I’m going to do a 2” body lift but it would be nice to get a 2” suspension lift that wasn’t the spacers, at least on the am general springs since it’s decently rough.
I refuse to buy the...
Do the Nissan Armada springs give any lift? Or is it just for ride quality? I think the 4x4 versions can work in the rear as well?
I know they need to be modified.
Thanks,
Steven
Yes but someone said Urethane has an issue over Carc so I’m trying to find a primer to go directly over Carc that would work and not cause issues 1-3 years from now.
But isn’t Gillespie supposed to be a kind of non-official Carc? I was told by someone else a 1 stage urethane would probably be good for a few years and then start to have issues, peeling and cracking due to it being chemical resistant, including urethane.
So I don’t mean to sound like I’m disregarding your info, it’s actually good to know for future projects but what would be the easiest way to paint over Carc with a 1 stage? Do I need to use a primer or would roughing it up be just fine? I know most people just rough it up to spray Carc again...
