Ok back on topic I would do what you can to save it. If it is a M151a2 6x6 and not a home maded 6x6 its worth saving as I have only seen a few 6x6's and they were M151a1's. If you can please email me the pictures would love to see more of the M151

Gimpy I was talking about the early style single arm like what cam on the trucks in the 50's and early 60's. I had talked with jamboly while ago and he's looking for the frist style not the "elephant ear" style its a single arm with a square mirror like what goes on the m135
I the bow in the channel is less on the CJ frame your top will probably not fit as snug as it would with the correct channel. In my opinoin it should work but I have never tride it.
I will make a note of the event on the Military Museum of Texas calender and will also talk to the 6th CAV group as I am also a member and they like doing camp outs. The CAV is mostly WWII but they have members with M35's and other M series vehicles. This will always be a Steel Soldier event...

I will try and get some mesurments for you off the plate that I had fab up. Finding the correct plate had truned out to be impossible so I had a friend of mine fab one up. It will be some time this weekend till Im back at the museum to get the mesurments for you.
they are out there mostly on the east and west coast. There is a company that deals with military mules only and I belive they are on the east coast I just can think of their name.
I saw a DUKW in Galveston last year that was a 4x4 they did not bob it they simply took out one axle. I think bobbing one would be a horribale thing to do unless the DUKW was to far go to restore. just my 2cents
