do some searches and you will find old posts about trucks with hard tops and M66 ring mounts. your truck probably had a M66 ring mount on it and they cut a hole in the hard top for that reason.

I would restore it back to Nam colors but do what makes you happy. Also im 99% sure that is the wrong winch.

the M151a2 comes with a internaly regulated Altanator. What probably happend is something failed internaly with the altanator which cause it to over charge. Some shops can rebuild those but most will not touch it because it has a sealed internal regulator. I would replace it with another...

depending on the condition of the under side of the jeep body. Do you have a texas title? I would say its a pretty clean un cut M151a1 and 4000.00 would be a good price.
