two gallons of RAPCO paint and two gallons of red primer so roughly about 150.00 dollors plus alot of time. all together it took four weekend probly to sand prime and fixing rust holes and add the little stuff like mirrors and the paper clips on the bumper.
I have seen the square guards before. not sure when they came out with them or why but I belive they are a later style because all the gassers I have seen have round guards.
From what I know about WWII jeeps a lot of jeeps after the war were rebuilt and a lot of times they would take three or more jeeps to make one. What you have there is a jeep that went throught depot rebuild in 1948. it is comon to see a ford tub on willis frame and motor. Im not sure when...

Is there or was there ever a soft top made for the deuce that had a hole in the top to be used on trucks that had a gun ring? I have seen a soft top for a M548 that had hole in it and it was not a Field mod. I was wandering if anyone had ever heard or seen one before.
