No sorry I do not. I use the original to know the routing then I lay each wire into a harness with the breakouts at the same place but longer legs (for now). Then fit it to the truck and terminate each of the branches to the correct length. you'll come out with a fine harness! Better than any...
I don't think the problem is the elbow or the air cleaner. your engine appears to set too far back (or the cab is somehow too far forward). you should just about be able to get your hand between the back of the engine and the firewall (about 7/8")
Despite what type of Jeep it is you can buy 12V coils that do not require the ballast resistor. If you cannot confirm that the one you have is made for no resistor you should get the right type coil or add the resistor.
I got to see this truck and meet Nathan last week at Tower Park. It is going to be a major project but Nathan is a young guy, so will have plenty of time, and the energy to do it.
What really cool is many of the one off pieces are still present on the truck. While we were looking I tensioned the...
It was a dodge wc12.Bed isn't original nor the rear fenders. front fenders seem to have been widened for the bubba duals.
Depends on your location and the customer base around you. 4000 is too high IMHO
Things I have learned along the way about M37 distributors, well actually most M series distributors.
The two vent lines are not there to cool the coil. In those tiny little lines with no forced flow you wont get enough air to cool a gnats ass. They are there to strip condensation and ionized...
I have lots of old Lionels myself. it is amazing how cleaver they were. In the thirties you could set up an elaborate layout with switch tracks interconnected so that the route would always be changing. Yours being '53 is it the "electronic" set?
Horrible to be facing a proposition like this one. I have read your entire thread. you have invested so much sweat equity and a ton of money into it.
Is there anyway you can mothball it until you have more time money for it? The pluses are all the work and parts you have put into it. that and...
Yes, temp, fuel and pressure are a balanced coil set up. One coil is a reference as such and the second coil is hooked to a resistive element to register change. This is done so the readings do not change with voltage supply change. They all require two isolated terminals and a ground connection...
Good job!
1) Yes they "flop"
2) The ground scheme is flaky at best, it relies on too many points of contact, metal to metal, with rust, paint and who knows what else gumming up the works. Any of the M vehicles that I have had that act up gauge wise immediately get another "star" harness on the...
The temp gauge terminal that runs to the engine sensor, is the closest wire to the throttle cable you were fooling with. If the wiring is old, it is probably right at the gauge where you could have mashed the wire. If the insulation is brittle it will flake right off and short to the metal shell...
