What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Nice work John. I have to get mine installed. It's sitting out back behind the shop.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finished swapping air tanks today. Used Teflon tape. No more leaky tank :D That t-case on the other hand...it's got to come out and apart. Something is messed up internally for the front axle drive. :(

    Soft top advice needed.

I used seal all from autozone and pop rivets every 8-10"s. Worked very well.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Pulled my air tanks to replace the one closest to the frame. Been having the spare sitting around for a while. I couldn't find the procedure in the TMs. Question... What sealant should I use when reassembling the tank fittings/lines? Loctite, Teflon tape? Thanks

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yes I drilled holes for the pop-rivets. The seal all should hold the vinyl together from underneath, while the head of the rivets will keep it from unraveling on the top side. At least that's my theory. I didn't have any issues with the top while drilling through it, made sure to drill the vinyl...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Top fix was a success. I used seal all from autozone and pop rivets every 8" or so just for added measure. I honestly think the seal all would've worked alone, but the rivets helped keep the vinyl in place while the glue set. Without them the clamps kept wanting to push the channel piece around...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Repairing my soft top. The channel stitching was dry rotted and tore apart. Going the seal all and pop rivet approach. PITA

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Nice buy Rm! Congrats on the successful trip. I'm on the hunt for one of those... the girlfriend that loves the sport and is willing to put in the work that comes with it that is. Don't have enough room for a 5-ton next to the deuce right now. As always, Hotty Toddy! Have a great night

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Also the neighbors took some pictures of their little girl on the deuce and sent me one. She said she hoped I wasn't mad.. Never could I be mad for someone loving my truck.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I pushed a beached work barge (20'x10') off of the boat launch at my work back into Lake Sardis after failing to pull it off with the boat. Deuce didn't even know it was there.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I packed up my house and moved across town with some greatly appreciated help from my mother, little sister and cousin. They made the 5 hour trip up from the coast. That's love! Here's a pic of my sister and myself making a load.

    Custom ground cam.

A re-ground cam can be done for fairly cheap. Theoretically you can get any specs you want, and make up for the smaller lobe diameter with longer pushrods. I'm curious, can you get different rocker ratios? If so, then it is possible to get different cam specs without ever touching the cam. I'm...

    HMMWV acquisition and rebuild

Very nice progress. Great looking rig. Are you going to be putting the brush guard back up front, or building a custom one?

4th of July Parade, Marietta GA

Hate to see the parade got cancelled, at least you got to see some cool rigs. The weather here in Oxford is the same. Was hoping to drive the deuce to work today, but with my top still needing repairs I chose against it.

    UPFINN's Deuce Build

Sure is turning out good, great color choice. It's looking like a brand new truck. I like the roll up sides on the cargo cover. Are they all like that?
