Actually thinking about it, you'll need to use the 365/85 XZLs (assuming there are NOT an MPT). The 14.5R20 MPTs won't seat properly on a 5T combat wheel because the bead flange is too tall. Member "Gringeltaube" has some great diagrams somewhere of the difference between a MPT and standard...
I had the 14.5 & 11.00 setup on my M35 when I had it. It looks really good on them vs. the scale of the truck itself IMHO. On a 5T, that's the only dual setup available unless you want to go really big and use the bridge truck setup. It uses spacers to put dual 14.00R20s on the rear axles...
Understood and I figured as much, I just put that out there for "completeness". I'm curious what the PCB (circuit board, that is) does on the ones that have them. Maybe it has some kind of starting timer to prevent cooking the starter from cranking too long?
Looking at Plode's pictures, it doesn't look to me like that would do a very good job at protecting from reversed batteries. The diodes there look like the go across the coil and act as suppression diodes to bleed off the energy in the coil when deactivated. If no other diodes are added the...

If you're going to use it as a brush truck, it may be worth your while to fix the CTIS for off-road use. Until then, http://www.thosemilitaryguys.com/ctis-delete-kit/
5W40... Rotella T6? If so I think that's a mineral oil based blend similar to other "synthetics". Of all the Rotella oils it should do the best when cold. What I would be looking for is the oil that has the proper weight when hot (SAE 10) and has the lowest pour point of all of the options.
I bypassed the temp switch on my ether system. I can understand why it was there, but I have enough sense to not pump ether into a 8.3 that is above freezing. Heck, mine starts at +25F without help, but it is a bit rough at first.
Another thing I did is replace the cork gasket where the can...
