I took a pressure washer (4000 psi) with a 0 degree angle tip and took the majority of paint off of my m109 box. it worked really well and there were at least 3 layers of paint on it.
i'd be in for another trip down to Trashmore. JoeDeuce is coordinating an event in Richmond in March that a few of the Tidewater guys are going to come up. He has a thread going here in SS.
Joe is in Richmond and he is the organizer, so I'm guessing he wants it to be local. Also middle point for NOVA, Tidewater, and Charlottesville. You have a few locals out there that you should be able to coordinate a get together with.

You definitely want to get the parks permission and parking reserved. Like Joe said, the worst thing would be for guys to drive all the way there and then not have parking.
Cabell's event is a little different, he has 600+ acres for us to park in and camp. Of course you have to watch out...
our company just did the Tough Mudder event which supports the WWP. we got to learn a little more about specifics they do. we were able to raise quite a bit of money. unbelievable work/support they do for those guys.
