    I guess that make sense with having a directional tread. The later version 1 1/2 ton singe axle,(g506... ) only had one spare mount, maybe because it had non directional tires ?! I have been on a long, diligent hunt for a g506 '42 to '44. Trying to find that one that has it all, but just might...

    1943 Chevrolet military firetruck (Army 4x4) ebay-maybe not)

    Reading the entire article gives some real good information on these trucks !! Wooden steering wheel, different classes (325 or 525), pump info, psi info and hood ID #'s starting with 50... would depict a FD truck !!!! A GOOD read, THANKS !

Then I realized after some home work on this site,(which is fantastic !!), that another style is the fire truck ! Have looked from west coast...
