Here are some photos of the M1009 on her 1st run with me in the snow.
BTW thanks to all who helped me get this thing fired up by answering the questions that I posted.
thanks for all the advice. I have ordered a glow plug card so I will see if that is all it needs. This truck seems to be in top shape and I will not be suprised if that is all I need. I need some input on fuel additives. I have read that the low sulphur fuel does not have the lubricating...
Thanks for all the tips. I have not found anything funky. There is a brand new GM window regulator in the glove box. I will post photos soon. I am proud of this thing. It is pretty much rust free and runs very well once I get it going.
Well I got it started. I siphoned off 15 gal of old fuel. Then added 5 gallons of new fuel and yes I hit it with a little starting fluid and it fired up. I drove it around the block and then to the gas station to fill it up. This thing is so cool.
I just got this thing home. I have charged the batteries. The thing cranks really well. The glow plug light does not light up when I turn on the key. The water in fuel light comes on though. I have cranked it for some time and I get a little diesel smoke from the exhaust which would indicate to...
I just got my M1009 home today. It has been sitting for atleast 2-3months. However there was enough juice in the batteries to get it to turn over. I am charging the batteries now. Does anyone have any specfic tips for getting this thing fired up. I am new to MVs and diesals. Any help would be...

Today I received a letter from the Defense logistics Agency dated 12/15/09. It just outlines the fact that I can't export my purchase and other rules. My EUC went to battle creek 10/23. Is this letter a sign that something is going on as far as approval goes?
I am at 47 days and getting nervious that they will cancel my auction so I emailed them a question about their policy for cancelling auctions this is their response.
Thank you for your email. You will not be able to pick up the item you purchased until the EUC has been approved and
the invoice...
I am at 45 days on my first EUC. I would assume this is not your 1st EUC. I thought it was supposed to take less time if you have been through the process before.
thanks for the updates. My M1009 is sitting at Stout field on the south side of Indy less than 10 miles away. I am ready to bring it home and see if it runs
