Motor City Motors - another Deuce on TV

Motor City Motors RIGHT NOW They're turning a deuce into a corn combine. This is the first time I've ever had a vehicle that was featured on a TV show. :-D Not sure how I feel about it, though. Edit: It's on the Discovery channel.

    Which calipers for disc conversion

Everything you need to know: Pirate4x4.Com - The largest off roading and 4x4 website in the world. There is a Cadillac caliper that you can use that has a cable operated parking brake incorporated into the caliper, but they're very expensive. I was planning on putting a rotor on the drive...

    Inconsistent fuel delivery

Somebody told me it is more likely asphaltene instead of algae. I dunno. Whatever it is, it's going away. Link: Diesel Fuel Facts

    Inconsistent fuel delivery

I was thinking about not putting another one in. Glad to hear it worked for you. I'm taking the tank tomorrow to have it cleaned. That really sucks about your IP though. I just put a filter in line to save the electric fuel pump I put in. I still have the stock filter box under...

    Inconsistent fuel delivery

I'd say I found the problem! The filter sock in the tank is completely clogged. I'm surprised it would let enough fuel through to even let it idle (that's all the truck would do by the time I parked it. I guess that's algae that has clogged it. Anyone know where I can get a new sock...

So my deuce came with Michelin radials...

I am just annoyed I have split ring wheels and I'd never heard of a radial with a tube. I thought radial meant "no tube". I have radials all around, including the spare. I just wasn't sure if the rears were split ring because I haven't looked close and the ring would be on the...

So my deuce came with Michelin radials...

...but it has split ring wheels (at least in the front). I thought you couldn't run split ring wheels with radials. Am I wrong? Does this mean my radials have tubes in them? :?::roll:

    Selling in the Forums

I think people are resistant to using the classifieds. It's not the "norm" in the forum world. As they are now, I don't think they're very effective. Having an obvious link directly to the classifieds (from the main page) would go a long way toward increasing effectivness as would having...

    Cold weather starting

What do you guys think about oil pan heaters that stick to the bottom of the pan? I would think that would be really good for an engine that has issues with oiling on startup to begin with.

    my cucv ram-air project

My BIG M925A2 Project Truck Is Home

That's awesome. I'm very impressed with the work. I would have written that truck off as scrap. Just shows that these things really are just a collection of parts. If you don't have everything, just keep adding to the pile until you do! :-D
