I think I already know the answer, but I wanted to put it past you guys first. Here goes, I have a standard 66' Deuce. It needs a new bed. A guy near me has a dropside for $500.00. I went and looked at it and the drop sides stop short of the front of the bed by about two feet. Those front...

I'll try to make it. March is usually our busy time. Plus, I owe you at least a couple of steaks for those tires you gave me a while back. Neil, Blythwood in near Columbia (middle of state). You could always make a pit stop in Spartanburg on the way and shoot some bull.

I had problems getting my lug nuts off. Broke two 1/2 breaker bars. Finally found a gear reduction lug wrench. Now its really easy. Ken tools sells them. Luckily, I got mine from Sermis. Hope this helps and good luck.
Since I use jetA exclusively (with a couple of gallons of 100LL to spice things up), I make it a habit to put in a quart of MMO with each fill up. 1 year + and no problems yet. (That being said, the IP will probably explode tomorrow) :)

Didn't know where to post, but here goes. One of my buddies just bought a 1986 CJ 10A aircraft tug. It has the Nissan diesel engine and 727 auto trans. My question to the group, does anyone have any tech manuals or related info. He is concerned with the lack of power and I can't find any...

About the weird stuff to burn. Mine has been running on contaminated jet (that the airport loves to give me since they have to pay to have it hauled off) a for over a year. All I do is add a quart of marvel mystery oil at each fill up. So far so good.
Agreed Gimpy, now to just find a used one. I thought someone would have one that the canvas was rotten on lying around. I can always duct tape it down in the mean time, lol
Thanks for the responses guys. I figured if I could get my hands on a old one, that I would hand stich it using the existing holes. Thanks for the lead DixieMiller, I'll have to check that out.
I was taking the cab top off the other day and found that the plastic leading edge that attaches to the windshield frame is brittle and broken. Does anyone have an old one that they want to get rid of? Or does anyone have an idea for alternative repairs. The top itself is in good shape, I'd...
When I went and picked up my windshields earlier this year the gentleman I bought them from had one in his front yard (Salisbury, NC). REALLY nice lawn ornament.

I think Saturn surplus has them. I ordered a set of standard pins a couple of weeks ago, and they wanted to make sure they weren't the west coast style. You may also want to try white owl parts in NC. Good luck.
