Spicer 9072 is only 29" as it's a twin shaft. ProShifts are not syncro'd...which I like.
Spicer ES series is a single shaft and is 32" long. ES are synro'd which you may or may not like.
Plenty of viable SAE2 tranny options behind the CTD...either automatic or manual. 7 speed Spicer box looks like it would easily fit and give you a mid .70s overdrive.
Rather than screw around with the brakes, I am going to take the most convervative approach possible and get new drums and shoes. I already searched the forum and came up empty handed. Any part numbers for the drums and shoes and sources?

Figured it out. Looks like it had never been adjusted. My guess is that they drove it somewhere with the breakaway tab up, wearing the linings down until it freed up. Popped the breakaway tab back down, pulled the inspection/adjustment covers off which had never been removed as the paint was...
Picked up an M101A3 on Tuesday (after nearly three months waiting for my EUC) at Ft. Meade MD. Spent an hour rewiring the harness to work with my 7 blade RV connector doing all the wiring correctly with heatshrink sheathing. Changed bulbs to 12V. Thought I was good to go....until I got to the...

1. 7 pin RV wiring harness which plugs into my civi pickup. Basically a connector with 6' of wires/leads which are color coded.
