I drove mine on trail rides and parades for 10 years and never had a problem. But it only takes one mistake. I was thinking about calling on that one, but I've had two time to move on.

If you have the correct TM study the photos, the text is misleading. Your best bet is to use a vacuum gauge. I don't know if a standard timing light will work with a magneto.
I went to 33"s , it didn't help much. Any taller and you need a lift.
The rear axle is a 1 ton unit, the corp. 14 bolt. It is easy to change carrier. But the dana 60 in front requires a special tool for the change.
Over drive transmission or in line over drive best choice if 4 wd is wanted...

This is my overdrive installed in a M1010, The A.C. lines are real close but ok.
Yes, pricey. Looking at alternatives 1. Change gear ratios 2. 700R4 3. Gear Vendors Overdrive. All about the same price. 1. lose off road ability 2. only one extra gear (OD) 3. split shift all gears, minimum changes to stock drive line.
Oh ya Beaver Island, love that place sooooo laid back 8-)
