Gauge repair shops use what looks like a mini bearing puller.
The point goes on the shaft, and 2 jaws grab on either side of needle.
I have used 2 flat head screwdrivers with some success.
Go slow, and keep pressure even. Very easy to bend shaft.
I put moderate pressure on screwdrivers and if...
I had same thing happen on trans cooler line in 10 year old Ford truck. I regularly inspect the bottom of my vehicles, but the plastic clamp was trapping road salt water, and corrosion was not visible. Fortunately, I was driving in town, and spotted/ smelled the oil before damage was done. Cost...
OK, you guys started it. Going off topic for a sec. Why isn't MSN allowed on your systems? I run Win 7 or 10, depending on computer, MS office, Hotmail, MSN. Actually like MSN news. No issues.
Depends on how hot the glow plugs get. I had trouble with moisture in the deeply recessed plug boots on 5.4L Ford V8. I installed new boots and did everything in Permatex dielectric grease. Heat melted it out of boots and plug connector.

Water pump...
