Treeguy,
That is great advise. I did not know the little stamped taps corresponded to each other. I will try that process tomorrow. Stand by for report.
PS: Sorry for your life being messed up for the next few days with Obama there. People have no idea what a headache it is when a president...
Strike two! I took the turn signal switch apart and cleaned the contacts inside the back of the switch and still no turn signal. The contacts inside the back of the switch were not clean but they weren't that bad either. Does anyone have the schematics of the switch so I can see if the one...
Strike one. I just took the light assembly off the fender, ground away all the paint and rust on both the light base and on the fender, covered all ground areas with electrical grease, used new star washers for good contact and reassembled everything. The one light bulb is sure nice and bright...
I like the sound of that. It sounds like the light assembly is simply grounded to the fender by the four bolts that hold it on. Is that correct? If so, I will clean the fender contact areas and try it again. Stand by for results tomorrow morning. I sure hope it works! Thanks everyone.
Okay. I like your ideas but I would think that if the ground was bad then the other two bulbs in the light assembly would not work either but they do. Correct or no? I have put a tester on the socket and it is like brand new and clean but no power and no power to the wire behind it inside the...
Any help would be appreciated. The passenger front turn signal does not have power. I have power to the other bulbs in the turn signal assembly but not to the turn signal bulb. (the rear passenger turn signal works fine) I have tried to follow the wire back as far as I can but it runs into a...
clearance
davidkroberts,
Have you had a chance to check the tire clearance all the way around including with the bed? I'm interested if there is any issues at full travel. Thanks.
shenkmen,
I think those look great! Can you tell me more or may I contact you? How much was that set up? Have you driven them in any real snow and or mud? How do they handle on the road (dry, wet, snow, ice?) I can PM you if you wish. Thanks for the info and the photo!
For the one millionth time I have a M35 A2 tire question. I would like to keep my original wheels (unless someone has a suggestion for a cheap simple two piece wheel direct replacements). And I would like to keep my original tire size or ones close to that size so I can stick with duels on...
This is great. Any other videos of running chains or running chains vs. not running chains? Also, any idea how long is should take to "chain up" all around? Thanks guys.
rrr,
Do you mind if I ask what the tires cost and then the wheels cost you separately? I'm always toying with a mod like this but cost is always an issue. Thanks and your rig looks GREAT!
Since snow, mud and flood season is upon us I would like to ask a question of anyone with REAL, PERSONAL experience. For mud and snow what is the best tire setup. Singles or the stock duellies but with good chains? I have heard guys rave about running the duellies with chains as being close to...
I think I paid about $48.00 ea. for them so that may be a pretty good price. I bought two at the time although if they don't leak it looks like one tank should last years and years.
The system only allows just a "sniff or two" of ether per pull and it is just enough to get the engine fired up...
LowTec,
Glad I could help. Although the system I installed was made by Kats the ether tanks I got were from ZeroStart. I am pretty sure all the systems use a standard thread on the tanks so all SHOULD fit. Famous last words I know. Napa did indeed have the takes but it took them a little time to...
Well its been a while and I've had lots of suggestions about getting my Deuce to start in the cold. After many experiments with none working I went to Plan E, F or G. I installed an ether cold starting kit by Kat's Kat's and it works GREAT!! Since I hate when people post about work they do...
