Finally got the Roof Rack M1009

I hear ya. I'm already wishing I had gone bigger with the inverter. Just worried about heat building up in the box. Didnt want to over complicate things by adding fans & stuff. Ill run the little one for a wile & see how it goes. The box really does fit just right.

Finally got the Roof Rack M1009

I saw someone on here put a civi console on top of an ammo can to boost it up. I really like having an armwrest on that side. Perfict height.

Finally got the Roof Rack M1009

The guy I picked it up from is a welder by trade. He fabbed it himself, then decided to go with a bikini on his k5. They show up on craigs list from time to time. But this one had feet. Awesome. The sugpump console is from a surpluss store down here in pomona...

Finally got the Roof Rack M1009

I found some ads on Craig’s list for racks that would fit a K5. Met with the guy who owned the most promising one. He had fabricated it himself, and parted with it for a very reasonable price. It sits on four feet that have four bolts each running through the fiberglass top. The inside has...

    M1009 rear window slips still.

Finally got around to pulling the glass out & unbolting the sash. The sash was in good shape, but obviously too wide (glass & rubber just slipped around). I just used a pair of pliers to pinch the opening of the sash closed. or rather more closed. The rubber was lubricated with water and...

    M1009 rear window slips still.

Did you pull the sash (steel track) out and hammer it on like GoinNutts suggested? Or did you slip it all in without removing the sash. I was trying not to pull everything apart. I thought I could just slip the glass back in with new rubber. Will the Oil trick allow me to keep the sash in...

    M1009 rear window slips still.

OK I give up. Is there a glue or should I use silacone or what? I replaced the rubber filler gasket that sits in between the sash and the glass about 2 months ago (lmc). I had hoped that after time the glass would seat and not move. But it still slips. Should I use something on the filler...

Poll - Who has done the Doghead Relay Conversion

So my answer should change from "Going to do the Mod" to "Done". Fast, easy, and worth it.

Poll - Who has done the Doghead Relay Conversion

Yesterday I stopped at my insurance broker to p/u a copy of my new insurance card. When I got back in and started the blazer, the starter kept spinning. I shut the key off, but the starter continued. Having read about this issue before I knew I should pop the hood and try to get the positives...

Anyone put a swing case in back?

That is a good point. I never even considered that. I will need to look into it. I was thinking of using it for snow chains and a bottle jack, so if i need to get into that stuff, pulling the crap out of the back would be less than convenient. Especially in the snow. Anyone have one & can...

Anyone put a swing case in back?

Has anyone put a swiing case by undercover in the back of an M1009? I cut down the Jerry can holder on the left and was thinking the swing case would fit nicely. Looks like this.

    M1009 Rear window felt

I picked up some foam weather striping in a roll form Home Dopey. Its about 1/4" wide and has adhesive on one side. Used a bit of 3m spray adhesive for added stick, and layed it down on two sides (front and back). This was about a month ago, and no problems yet. I looked everywhere for a...
