all ww2 engine and early cj2a engines where timming chain. After 1947 all L-134 engines where gear.

I have a correct m38 engine for sale. it is a flathead L-134 4 cly. Mine is apart and in dencent shape. Located in Northern NH. I also have other m38 parts I would sell.

I would say it is a cj3a. The Frame makes it a 3a, the horns are different than 2a, also no pockets on the side for top bows like the 2a had.

it is a willys truck with some modifications, 1948 might be around the right year.

That blue one looks to be strata to me. If you want the PPG paint code for Strata Blue I have it.

It is a cj2a tub, only the 2a's had the brackets on the side for the top bows. the grill seems to be missing the marker light holes which means someone probably filled them in. The windshield fram is m38, everything else appears to be 2a including the frame. For serial number look on the...

Could have been any older jeep or even a genset

all m38a1's came with the f-head engine. The was the whole point behind the design was to fit the f-head.

Springs are not the same. The cj5 uses longer springs

good luck with it and if you get it and need help I live in southern NH. I also have a flathead I can sell you, makes the jeep better. Big engines tend to break all the parts.

Chassis on a flatfender jeep and a cj5 are not the same. they are not even the same between the 2a and 3a. The cj5 is longer, and has an inch longer wheel base.

It wouldnt be able to come back to the US anyways. The Govt wont allow the re-import of american made armor.
