I have a correct m38 engine for sale. it is a flathead L-134 4 cly. Mine is apart and in dencent shape. Located in Northern NH. I also have other m38 parts I would sell.
It is a cj2a tub, only the 2a's had the brackets on the side for the top bows. the grill seems to be missing the marker light holes which means someone probably filled them in. The windshield fram is m38, everything else appears to be 2a including the frame. For serial number look on the...
good luck with it and if you get it and need help I live in southern NH. I also have a flathead I can sell you, makes the jeep better. Big engines tend to break all the parts.
Chassis on a flatfender jeep and a cj5 are not the same. they are not even the same between the 2a and 3a. The cj5 is longer, and has an inch longer wheel base.
Wish I could have come. Not only was the jeep not running but I had to go up north to my parents house. If anybody wants to come, on wednesday nights in Hillsboro NH at the the high tide restraunt they have a cruise in. If you come in an antique they give you a ticket for half off your meal.
