Thank you so much for the info, tires all dates Goodyear 1954 unfortunately engine is gone so original generator all gone too but I agree this one is probably going to be one of the easier trucks to get back together
Ok guys I recently got a new to me M-37 project truck at auction, it is probably the best shape candidate that I've seen. Engine is out of it, there was one in the bed on a stand. It obviously isn't correct as it has 6 volt equipment on it. I also got another engine in the round metal military...
Been working on getting the M-51 ready for painting. Mad dash just a couple of weeks to get it done for the Portland Indiana MVPA show. Got them all lined up along the tracks so I have room to start painting next week. Nevermind the bobcat and the bucket truck lol
These lights are the omnivolt models and should be good for 12-24 volts without any mods. Just make u a pigtail adapter for military to civilian truck and they work just fine
Definitely doing an oil and filter change, ordered vented caps for the fillers to hopefully remedy the situation from happening again. I will pull plugs to take a look and fog them to replace lubrication washed off my the gasoline. Thank you for the insights
M51 with new fuel tank on it, came to find it today with a ton of pressure on it from thermal expansion. Had a vent hooked up to the top of the tank, a non-vented cap. Found it had pushed a ton of fuel into the engine oil pan talking gallons.
Drained everything, checked vent with a vacuum pump...
Well boys somehow we managed to get this circus finished enough to go to the show. They're loaded and now strapped down. Just one wake up left and we're Findlay show bound
Coming right along, hopefully I can get the little details back on and touch up painting finished. Got a little work to do on the gooseneck trailer yet but looking forward to Findlay.....
