i did the same thing. the only problem i had was the shut off valve leaked when open and suppling air to the quick connect/air hose so i replaced the shut off valve. works fine and is handy when bleeding the breaks cuz you can hook it up to the compressor and it keeps the system charged...

check your IP. Mine was the same way. Put in a LDS-1A pump now you look at it and it will start. Others will know different things that will need to be checked but i had the exact same problem so it stands to reason that you could need to check your ip. mine ran fine after you got it started...
