I would assume the hoses are easily acquired--I had the complete truck at my disposal when I did the conversion. Try a decent parts store, such as NAPA or Car Quest; I have commercial accounts at both, and find NO reason to try Autozone or the like.

I used parts from an '84 W250 with a 360ci. Steering gear and pump bolted on, no problems.

I replaced the pump and injectors on my M818 ( they were worn badly) and it cost me just under $1K total. The truck pulls a belly dump(total weight 70,000 lbs) at 5280' , and while only topping out at 30 mph, have found no need to use low range, even on steep hills. Took an afternoon to change...

From what I see, they usually sell in the $75 range. Sure you are going to see some cheaper, and some higher, but it is a fairly common adapter. I usually have an extra or two if someone gets in a bind.

Well, I felt they would be rediculous, but at those prices, a HEMTT at $85k seems reasonable. I don't want one THAT bad.

If you go the Uship route, load your M1008 with my tires in the bed on the back of the trailer, and I'll pick it up in Amarillo. I'll pitch in $500 if it helps. Just an idea. Jimbo
