Why swap? Have you ever broken a 208? I personally have had good luck with them with big tires and big horsepower plus a lower low-range ratio than a 205.
They call it "Certificate to obtain title to a vehicle". Does that mean it can be used to get a title or, as you say, it acts as a glorified bill of sale? Sorry for the questions, its my first time with this process.
That is where your glowplug controller card goes. Since it is not there it will not ground the blue wire at the resistor and therefore wont send voltage to the plugs. If I were you I would just install a small push-button switch on the dash under the light switch.
Its quite easy really. Just...
Thanks Hal. So do you what a SF97 is for? Does it take the place of a title or allow us to get a title? I'm a bit confused here. Also I talked to a lady from the DMV and she said I would need a notorized letter from the NJ national guard (who owned the truck previously) saying that they were...

Check here for electrical troubleshooting around page 110. I just went through this but ended up putting a manual switch to operate the plugs. It a no-brainer.
Thanks ida34. I have to go through the steps with the truck but just from reading it, it seems I may have a bad resistor. I could have sworn I was getting 24 volts at the red wire on the relay.

Well Ill let you know how it goes but I found a good switch at Napa for any of you thinking about this mod. Its part number STB6301 and costs about 10 bucks.
Wellmans. I just tested them all and they all came back between 2 and 5 megaohms. I guess thats not good. So any ideas how I keep this from happening to my next set?
I hear ya Westech and thanks for the heads up. Where is that kit from? Quick question on the switch tho, when i grounded the blue wire the relay clicked and I got 24v to a glow plug wire. Is that normal? I thought it should be 12?
