    A/C Vacuum Source?

The vacuum runs from the controls to the louvers. It's most common in older cars. A vacumm system means that you do not need any electronic servo motors/controllers which is my goal. I was thinking of a cable driven evaporator but I am not sure if anyone even makes them. Anyone have sources...

    A/C Vacuum Source?

Yeah that's why I was asking where I could pull one. Off the air compressor maybe?

    A/C Vacuum Source?

I am currently designing an A/C system for my truck and am looking at the Vintage Air Universal Vacuum Evaporator. I would like to use a vacuum controled system for relyability reasons (no dead electronics after fording). My questions is where can I pull a vacuum line from? Any suggestions...

24v to 12v Without Converter or Transformer

Haha yeah that's about what I came up with after I sat down and really went through it. Thanks for the explanation!

24v to 12v Without Converter or Transformer

I started the thread more because I was curious than because I intended to use it. I figured someone else would have designed this way before me if it actually worked. I'll probably go with the ever popular Pyle. Anyone have problems using it with a speaker amplifier? Or better yet, any good...

    wmo filtering

I agree with Beyond Biodiesel, look into a centrifuge. It's a little more pricy on the the front end but it will filter better than a 1/2 micron filter and they don't need to be replaced.

24v to 12v Without Converter or Transformer

Yeah, I know all the other options, was more curious why this WOULDN'T work. Frying the diodes is a good point; not sure if they make high-load diodes...

24v to 12v Without Converter or Transformer

A quick question for the EE's out here, would a setup like this work for equally tapping 12v off the two batteries? The diodes would keep the betteries from shorting out but I am not sure if the ground on the second batteries would screw things up. Just a thought and wanted some input. Thanks

    Adding Bus Style Winshield Wipers?

That link was a huge help, thanks. This is a little ways down the priority list but I will make sure to post something if I get it to work.

    Adding Bus Style Winshield Wipers?

I've looked around and could not find anything on this. Has anyone upgraded to bus style (blade stays vertical) windshield wipers? I hate that the wipers cover such a small space and would like to be able to clean the whole windshield. I would like to upgrade anyways and thought that these may...

    vehicle security

If you want more security for your push start, get a wireless fob module. When you (fob in your pocket) are in the truck, the push start will work. if the fob is not in the truck, it won't. Won't help much if someone REALLY wants your truck but it will keep people from just hopping in and...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

So if the compression ratio does not affect the power, I'd say take a stock diesel, (LB7, 6BT etc.) raise the compression to 20:1 (new heads or pistons), add a flame heater before the IP, add a turbo with a wastegate and maybe increase the size of the injectors so that they wouldn't get clogged...

    "Inventing" a "New Multi-Fuel Engine"

Sorry for waking a dead thread but I found it very interesting and had a few questions. Would you be able to run straight WMO through normal (maybe enlarged) diesel spray injectors if you used a fuel preheater or something like the flame heater that the deuce multifuels have? This would...

    M1101 fiberglass cover on a M105?

Will the fiberglass cover from a M1101 fit on a M105 or are the different sizes? Thanks in advance for the help.
