I was thinking of putting 1600's on my truck and losing the overdrive might be good to get the gearing back close to where it was with 1400's. I dont plan on driving over 55mph but Id like it to be about 1800rpm at 55mph. I need to do the math and see what it comes out to.
Anyone have pictures of where the transfer cases break or crack from using them in reverse? Also I have read a lot of conflicting information on using low range in reverse, seems if your not hammering on it in reverse fully loaded its ok, but other things I have read have said just backing up...
M939 transfer case problems.
I would like to know what breaks too. I'm wondering if a fix can be made for the transfer case to make it hold up to full throttle in reverse in low range? I had wondered if another bigger transfer case would fit without too much modification too?
Profo, Do you think he has any of the hub sets left? Do you have an email or contact info for him? I just bought a M925A2 and I want to put lockers in it. I would prefer Air lockers but Detroits might be the only way.
Thanks,
