So sure enough with the Civilian test alternator the voltmeter pegs in the center of the green zone area of the gauge after the glow plugs shut off. Now I know that the rebuild isn't right. So back it goes for a 3rd time!

I guess it should work. There is space between the stock tank and the skid plate. Probably adequate for the extra 4 gals. Risk would be that you wouldn't be able to get the skid plate back on but how you use the vehicle would decide if you needed to keep the plate. My thought was to do the...
