Yeah...the $800.00 was what I had paid a few years back....checked on one for my M916 last week and it went up....what a surpriseaua
Anyway....I ended up ordering the aftermarket one for the 916....My parts guy told me, that they sell a lot of them to the oilfield people....no complains...
Yes, the Holland top plate new is about $900.00 brand new. There is also an aftermarket replacement available for it also that costs about $700.00 new. I will try that on the M916.
I don't have it handy right now but I did post the part number here on SS just about a week ago. It think it was in...
I was sorting through some pics today and stumbled across the "as picked up" pics of my M920.....back in the dark ages....when you could not buy M920 "Depot Rebuilds" for under 10 grand.... These trucks where not even available then...
Well, now in hind sight, looking at the pics.... I'm...
Hey now....you guys should not make fun of my monkey! lol It is my "Good Luck" monkey!
My daughter actually gave it to me before I left for my very first road-trip in my M920a1, back in 2003. When I kissed her goodby, she handed it to me and said; here daddy....my monkey will keep you...
Ok, if you don't want to change the top plate on the truck, Holland offers "bolt on" kingpins that come with a weld on mounting plate for the trailer. This alows you to bolt on the 2" or the 3.5" kingpin and is DOT legal.
Oh and by the way...the commercial 2" kingpins are cerainly heat...
Well, it is nice to see that he takes great pride in his equipment! That is just not that common anymore these days.....My neighbor for example has a construction business and he bought a brand new CAT loader last spring. I just saw it again the other day and it already looks like it has been...
Funny...."Domesticated" was the first word that popped in to my head....lol
Wow.....this truck really looks brand new....they did a very nice job fixing it up!
But wait....is that a PETERBUILT emblem on the grill though....
Many thanks for the pics.....what is he going to...
Thanks Wade, for posting all the pics! I'm happy to report that your truck made it home safely....I enjoyed the visit with you and your wife on Tuesday, she really takes great pictures! :-)
Btw....when we talked about how to do the unloading, I forgot that I can just lay the folding goosneck...
Are the studs going to be long enough to run the HEMTT tracks??? Oh and can someone tell me if it is true that it takes the same valve stems as my 1988 Volkswagen Jetta.....thought I saw a post on here sumwhere....can anyone find it for me?
I would have to agree with you. The MRAP seats are made by SEATS INC. and look just like the ones you got pictured.
You can't buy them from them though....only through Oshkosh....I tried...aua
Not trying to "Hijack" your thread KJ....
Here are a couple of pics of my M818 with the M916 11,00R24 tires in the rear and 395/85R20 super singles on HEMTT wheels in the front. (they are exactely the same diameter!)

Oh....one other common problem, besides all the good tips above, that makes the PT not get full throttle, is the presense of the two manual trottle cables from the dash and the rear winch control, that somtimes don't let your linkage move all the way forward. You might want to check that to.
Soni
Ok...here is part of the problem, the CAT 7155 tranny, found in the M920, has a centrifugal clutch, NOT A TORQUE CONVERTER! Therefore you can NOT treat it like an automatic. If you have the tranny in gear, and try to rev up the engine you are forcing the clutch to slip and that could damage it...
Paul,
would you have room for 6 16.00R20 Michelins from Randy's Tire up there in your neck of the woods? And if yes, how much would you charge me to haul them to NM?
Call me: (505) 787-9961
Thanks Soni
Mark,
That truck is AWESOME!!!! U did an incredible job on it.....If I did not have to many vehicles already, I would certainly try to talk you out of it....LOL
