Those MEP-002A generators are awesome machines and are adequately sized for most homes. I love the simplicity and straight forward design that allows easy troubleshooting. And yes, Steel Soldiers is an awesome and valuable resource for all of us.
Thanks for the response, Rusty. My electronic EGT unit has an alarm, which I have set for 1100 degrees F. It lights a bright alarm light on the display, but after reading your reply, I will probably use the alarm contacts to energize a loud audible.
Last week I bypassed the FDC in my 1971 M35A2. Today I finally got to take it out on a test run to see if the differences described in several Steel Soldiers posts, would apply to my truck. The difference in hill pulling was simply unbelievable. Hills that made me downshift all the way down...
I know I saw something on this subject a while back, but I haven't been able to find it. On a deuce, where should the tires be mounted according to tread wear? I am pretty sure that the best should be on the front axle, but when talking about the rear axles, how would one position the tires...
Went to the show today, and like every other year, Red Ball put on a great show! Drove the deuce with my brother and was pleasantly surprised to see prices at many vendors, very reasonable. Did not find what I was looking for, but still came home with some great stuff. Job well done Red Ball...
