Im going to reply without researching :). Why not a high amp battery cutoff switch in line with the 24v feed going to the starter? Would be a nice piece of mind even with the DH mod. Just brainstorming.
Get the SUP-1104 from summit racing. The steering box weld brace came from rough country. Just call and tell them you want one, only like $55. And mods if I am off base, delete this. But the crossover kit i used is this one.
Luckily the cap position is not very critical. Just as long as you get close if you have to drill them. But my studs were pretty loose, so hopefully yours will be too
Thats ok. Get an ease out set and drill the studs. They arent very tight in there, should come out easy.
Things needed for crossover:
2WD steering box, Superlift SUP1104 drop pitman arm, a Dana 60 Crossover kit from fleabay with springless caps. And for good measure i used a weld on frame...

Edit. No these are not the factory GPs. But if...
Just a gentle stock 6.5 turbo setup, nothing crazy, i have an nv4500 which is wonderful, a little turbo never hurt anyone haha plus being a bachelor living alone im always tinkering
Also, sorry for hijacking the thread!
I replaced the inner fender because the original one was coming apart. And these two group 31s sitting together weight about the same as the original single 6MFT did. When i built the base i designed it with large flat feet to spread out the weight more evenly than the original CUCV brackets. So...
I also run two 1000cca Exides. I just built a custom tray to hold two of them instead
And I like to rotate my batteries every month or so. Helps to keep the wear on them evened out.
