False, all depends how much you are willing to cut. I ran 35s with no lift on my 89 k5 for awhile. no trimming in the rear and just some slight trimming to the front fender opening and a little of the inner wheel well
With a 3" (or 4) you should get a raised steering arm, dropped pitman arm or...
Im 25 and my m1009 is my 1st military vehicle but definitly not my 1st k-series chevy truck. I absolutely love it and think these cucvs are a great "gateway drug" to anyone looking to get into military vehicles. I have had a love for military stuff thanks to my dad and his wwII jeeps and other...
This seems like an accident waiting to happen. If you have to take off the shackles to put this on, why didn't you just make something that mounts directly to the frame mounted receiver tubes instead of welding some bed frame right to a shackle? I would go back to the drawing board and...
Where did you get that rubber mat? Is it just a truck bed mat that you cut to fit?
I have my jerry can mounted in the back but for the life of me cant figure out how that hold down strap is supposed to mount! I saw a M1008 the other day at Menards that had dual can mounts on the front brush...
Have any of you guys noticed if your front pass side springs sag? Mine seemed to sag from day 1 (I installed 4" Tuff country HD springs) I havn't measured but I would guess its close to an inch lower than the driver's side. I assume this is because of both batterys being on that side but it's...
Love the truck! Does the camo netting pull back over the back of the truck?
I have removed 3 steering arms over the years. One took the life of my sledge hammer handle while the most recent (the one off my M1009) literally knocked loose with 1 hit of a ball peen hammer. And to the guy with the...
Mine had the jack, jack handle and lug wrench as well. Only real cool thing would be a rifle strap under the rear seat. Oh and someone wrote "Flux Capacitor 1.21 JW" on the air cleaner LOL
A 4l80e would be a better choice for trans. Its basically a th400 with overdrive. Cheapest route would be to get one from a wrecked truck. I think GM started using them in 91
38s are reaching the limit of the front 10-bolt. But if you drive smart, you will be ok. In the rear definitly go with a 14-bolt, full floater preferred. 6-lug semi floaters are kinda hard to find but would be a good candidate. I wouldnt convert and re-gear your front axle. Just find a 8-lug...
Alright, so I'm a total noob when it comes to wiring and radios. How are you planning on wiring this into your truck? It looks like it has a single plug that would go to a wall outlet? Also Since there are only two outputs, does that mean you are limited to only 2 speakers? I would love to use...
