I find that my deuce runs much better after about 8-10 miles of driving...about the time the trans gets warmed up.
Still wish I had a 5th(OD) gear though :)
When I had the civvy version of the 1009 back in the early 90's, that thump was a worn motor mount on mine.....
and my wallet went thump every time I had to fill it up :)
Glad you got a deal. The valvoline quik lube near me wanted ALMOST $150 TO CHANGE THE OIL WITH my FILTER. needless to say, the oil didn't get changed there.
does anyone have actual pictures of the fuel filter changes? The NAPA filter I got doesn't look to be even close to the same size as the original.
A picture of the 'check valve' cleaning would be appreciated too, because the TM is less than clear, and it isn't like you can call AAA to have it...
:funny:now that's funny no matter who you are.
I need some lessons so when the 1009 I have an eye on shows up, there won't be flying frying pans involved :)
