Well, I found a CTIS head unit whose price I could swallow. I plugged it in, and viola, I had a functional display.
I read the TM, and it said it tests every 30 minutes. I set it to 'highway' and went for a 30 mile drive. The listed tire pressure on my 395's never went above 40PSI. Isn't it...
I would look at Gulfway insurance first.
They didn't write in Massachusetts, so I got my M109 insured through JC Taylor

the deuce isn't made to go 65.
you can get almost 55 out of the stock A3 by mounting 395's in place of the 14.5x20's
anything else is running the tach against or over the 2700RPM readline.
ugh. another CTIS deficiency. Why the heck wouldn't you want it to set your inflation before you drove it?
I'm supposed to be getting a new head shipped to me, so I can see if my system even works.
all of the O-rings and valve grommets came from Erik's before they were mounted.
replaced some CTIS plumbing and fittings too...so there wouldn't be any leaks :(
the tire company has blamed the O-rings, the rims, and the plumbing - but not themselves.
We'll see.
I have the A3 flavored deuce, and I'm relatively new to it. Driven it about 600 miles since I got it.
I like the fact that I got one with less than 500 on the clock, and have relatively serviceable parts, but the ESP updated machines gave a lot up too....like being multi-fueled, the 5 speed...
very cool, but it doesn't ay it will run in a tire you want to drive on the highway, or at (close to) highway speeds.
wonder what that would cost to do a set of 395's :)
The tires were mounted at McCarthy Tire in Hughesville MD. They were recommended by a member here who I implicitly trust as guys who knew how to do them, because he had personally had tires mounted there.
One of the rims may have rust/pitting in the O-ring groove and may be a lost cause, but...
