Westech, I want a deuce whose speedo can read like yours :)
.....without blowing my motor up, that is. I think that would be about 3700 RPM on my CAT powered machine :(
Outstanding to hear. Glad we have a "395's do fit A3 wheels no problem" story....esp since I just bought 7 of them for MY 109 :)
Just makes me wish I was in the PNW to get them mounted @ your guy's store.
Thanks for the tech, might be making a trip to buy a new impact gun to turn those...
I hope they treat you better in Texas than Massachusetts for commercial plates. I just found out that commercial plates for my M109 are going to be over $300 per YEAR. That's JUST the plates. Thanks Massachusetts :(
26,000 pounds and no brakes have to cause a 'pucker moment' like you just can't believe.
I'm sorry you're disgusted; I would just be thankful no one was hurt, no equipment was damaged, and everything is safe. Brakes can be fixed, injuries (or worse) take a lot longer.....
from my working on car (not MV) days, a squealing belt can be caused by loose belts, glazed (worn) belts, or if the load is incredibly high on the alternator, like when a vehicle has a bad or deeply discharged battery or batteries.
Applied to Commerce for insurance, SF97 WAS mailed today (verified with GL), bought 7 395's from Berg tire, 7 O-ring and grommet kits from Erik's military surplus.
Going to think about that dang insurance policy all weekend.
Holy COW these are expensive toys. I so blew through my budget on...
As an owner of an M109a4, with a whopping 60 miles behind the wheel, I can tell you that the top end is the top end, it's how it's geared. WYSIWYG. If you decide to mess with the fuel pressure, you're gonna blow it up.
BTW, the rev limiter is 2900-ish, and it's going to run a lot longer at...
Sweet alternator setup! My 3116 in my m109a4 just ran for 50 miles @52-ish MPH indicated, tach read about 2700-2800RPM, or even a little higher a couple of times <yikes, in retrospect>
I had the good fortune of buying a truck with 137 hours indicated on it. I'm hopeful it wasn't spending all...
This math says to me that 2 x pi x r= circumference.
on 14.5's with 43 height, 43 /2 (radius) = 21.5 x 2 x 3.14 = 135 circumference
on 395's with 47 height, 47 /2 (radius) = 23.5 x 2 x3.14 = 147.5 circumference
dividing 147.5 by 135 = ~1.09, which is a 9% increase in the final drive.
Is this...
Does Conti make the 395 - which will also take a little stress off keeping the cat3116 in my deuce at the posted 2700RPM redline to stay at 50MPH?
I fully expect more than 90% of my driving in my 109 will be ON the road. If you claim 50k miles of tread wear on your contis, and the Deuce TM for...
