I spent many years driving the HMMWV's while in the army but driving them and paying to maintain them out of your own pocket is obviously two very different thing! For those of you that already have your own HMMWVs for a while. what would you recommend having on hand as far as spare parts...

Thank you. I've been researching the prices of replacement stock ones and there are more than pricey. Trying to work up a ist of spare parts to have on hand once I finally get a HMMWV in the next few months.

Will any other alternators / generators work with the HMMWV's or are you forced to use the standard units specifically meant for them?
