PP-1656G is a 208VAC, 3-Phase AC to 28VDC power conversion unit. we have several here at JBLM.
Most military hangers (at least all the ones I've worked in) are wired for 208 3-phase not 240V.
Out of all the trucks I've worked on that "needed" a new harness only one actually did, usually you can remove enough wrap to expose fresh wire and put on new connectors.
Get a set of secondary alternator brackets from the classifieds. Install a 12V alternator to charge the 12V battery bank, it's cheap , simple and best of all it's cheap, did I mention it's cheap?
Having the second alternator in my mind is one of the best mods you can do to these trucks.
Well it was actually last week,
Dressed up the ol girl and fabricated a cage for the back end in order to get ready for an "event" in Seattle. went with two other steel soldiers members and we had a blast! As you can see from the last picture, it was fun for the "hole" family!!
