Picked up a can today and took it to Lowes to have them shake it. The paint is definately darker than the shade MWMules referenced above. There is still some clumping in the bottom of the can but I believe it is due to needing to be shaken longer. If you look at the edge of the can you can see a...
Thanks Jon. When the plate was painted it appears they applied a self etching primer which adhered itself to the yellow paint. The numbers are coming clean but there is an abundance of 0's so I may need to reapply the numbers to get a complete set.
Bringing this thread back to life. I see several different shades of yellow but has anyone found the "right" shade? Also, was there no prep work on the plates? The plate I have appears to be be yellow straight on metal with no primer. Is this correct or has mine been redone in its past?
Also, dont think the owner will sell it, part it out yes. If he does sell it I will pick it up so someone else can fix it. I like it but I just have no need for a long wheel base truck.
I should find out this weekend if they will sell the rig or part it out. Dont know what I'll do with it yet but I will probably buy it. I hate all of you. :shock:
