    Mounts under front bumper

Well, I noticed at my other frames, that at all frames I have, there were already all the holes predrilled in that location, which makes me wonder, if those brackets were to be carried by wreckers only, and to be mounted prior the towing/recovery and then removed, or if they were a modification...

    Alternator Overcharging maybe?

Well, I had the same problem, (actually still have the same problem) and I found that Dodge has in the under the hood wiring a point where a couple of copper wires are welded together. from that point goes a voltage sensing wire to the external voltage regulator. Or at the weld or in those wires...

Did the army change their desert paint?

Well, I guess it's the same all over the world, you got your truck painted with whatever you could get your hands on. I heard stories that even back in the second ww, the Germans (who had strickt procedures for everything, just as nowadays...) got painted their tanks with a mixture of...

Did the army change their desert paint?

Hello, I'm wondering, did the army change their desert paint at a certain point? To me it seems that the hummers and other equipment that served in the desert storm operations were a bit more grayish sand than the latter type trucks that served in Afganistan, they seem a bit more yellowish to...

    Retired in Florida

Weird, your attachments doesn't work? Yes, I know, when I lived in Holland, and I attended a MV show I came back at my truck, and found people crawling all over, standing with fat mud boots all over my new paint, and when I asked if I could do that to this guy's car he looked at me as if I was...

New M880 Owner needs suspension advise

I realise that this is an very old post, but since this is a problem where many a M-880 owner runs into, i'd like to share my 2 cents... To me it seems that there is nowhere nothing written about the spec's for these springs. but spring basics says that to work at it's optimum, the spring...

New M880 owner, what spare electrical parts should I keep in the glove box?

Put it in another gear then P or N, and try to start???;) and if i'm correct, there is somewhere on the steering column a tab welded to push a slide connector onto, so you can run a wire directly to: The chassis, or the minus(-) of the battery? BTW what a beauty!!! I wish mine was like that...

    Beadlock & Lift Kit M880 ?

I would suggest to widen the original rims about 2", since the original tire is 9,5 wide, and these Hummers are 12,5 (I thought), that solves the wandering you'll normally find with Hummers at stock Dodge rims.

    M880 factory color

I would like to suggest that if you have a look on the inside of the cab, underneath the dash, door covers, or behind the banch, you'll find spots who are never touched by any GI, i like to think that that is mostly the correct factory shade. good-luck.
