    My stuff

Big Mike, I have thought about those 16.00x20s, but I am trying to keep my truck on the road in PA.<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_dead.gif" alt="Dead"> It is a limiting factor when it comes to bumper height, tires beyond the wheel wells and State inspection. I would need a 12" suspension lift to...

    My stuff

MonsterMan, I now have 9.00x20s on the 91GMC and I must say the small block Chevy revs pretty high to maintain 60mph, without overdrive. RPM is about 3400 at 60mph. Driving on the Interstate for more than an hour, at this RPM, is a concern for me. I am contemplating larger tires.

    My stuff

I did have 11.00x20NDTs on my 91GMC when I first put the rears underneath and I actually used them in the mud before I bought the Firestone tires. Here are a few pics. These tires worked better than I thought they would but the Firestones are much better.<img...

    My stuff

Thanks, I'm happy with the setup so far. The front wheels in the bottom duece pic are 6.5"wide 9.00x20. All of the other wheels pictured are 7.5"wide 11.00x20. They have Firestone stamped into the rings and wheels. I bought the 11.00x20 Firestone NDs, NEW, from a local tire center. They're about...

    My stuff

This is my Military meets Civilian vehicle.<img src="emoticons/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile">My 91GMC with 2 1/2ton Rockwells from a duece. I use this truck in the mud here in PA. It is works really well and I don't worry about breaking axles, anymore.<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_headbanger.gif"...

    got the deuce registered.......

I live in PA and when I bought my 72Duece it had an Antique license plate. I was able to transfer the tag into my name for $75. With this tag my duece doesn't need inspected or registered ever(as long as I own it)! The tag limits my use to once a week or less than 2500miles a year. That works...

    LD465 mods?

Thanks, this is PA inspected and I drive this to the mudbogs and out in the woods to the hidden mud holes! I have a TBI350 with small chamber heads, better cam, tweaked TBI, headers, dual 3" exhaust, Afterburners w/cats(due to PA emission garbage tests). SM465 transmission w/hydraulic...

    LD465 mods?

Thanks for your input, I will look into your suggestions. This is my other creation, notice the duece rears, 11.00x20s, my first experience with duece axles. I must say I am happy with the completed truck. Image Insert: <img src="data/brgmchevy/20041119222936_91 GMC2.jpg" border="0"> 51.14KB

    another 11.00x20 fitment question

By the way, I found out my welded rims with the larger slots are 6.5" wide! The welded rims with the smaller slots are 7.5" wide! And, the riveted rims are 7.5" wide. I am converting to single wheels on new 11.00x20 Firestone NDs. 6 tires are a lot cheaper than 10!

    another 11.00x20 fitment question

I am also in the process of going single rear wheels and I was wondering what are the differences between the riveted and welded wheels? I have 2 styles of welded rims, 1 has large slots that go deeper into the rim, and 1 that has smaller slots on the wheel outer surface. I also have riveted...

    LD465 mods?

Is there any performance mods or tips for a turbo diesel? I'm not very familiar with these motors.I'm new to the diesel genre. Though I'm impressed with my M35, so far. I was out mudding with mine this weekend and I am pleased.
