slober tube plumbed back into intake?

Blow by, in and of itself, is not a bad thing. All Diesel engines have some amount of blow by. The idea is that "a lot" of blow by indicates something else going on. Usually there is a limit set by the engine manufacturer for blow by, however I haven't been able to find it in the TM's for the...

    Beadlocks on M101A2

Two M101 A2's on a standard "car hauler" trailer in my avatar. I think we picked up an A3 once and it would barely fit between the wheel wells on the civi trailer. Dave

EUC Cleared & Invoice Paid In Full, Now What?

Flyingvan, 20-20 hindsight, I probably would have printed that out and brought it all down. Mine was a little different, I didn't get a title from Florida, Indiana had to issue me a title. The other sticky part was that I bought the trailers in lots of 2. By just looking at the PIF invoice...

EUC Cleared & Invoice Paid In Full, Now What?

Unforgiven, The GL site manager will load you out based on a paid in full invoice and a photo id. You are never returned an "accepted" EUC. The EUC is (I can only assume) kept on file in a government bunker for archeologists to discover 3000 years from now.... Depending on the site you have...

the multi-fuel engine on a Deuce

Slightly off topic, but... I am puzzled as to how/why the Multi "runs like poo" on gasoline? I guess I could just put about 10 gallons into the tank next time I go for a fill-up, but does anyone have a video of what the engine does running on gasoline? Any technical explanation as to why it...

    Turbo inlet hose part number

Would this not be a general NAPA part? I know I picked up coolant hoses "by the foot"... This part should just be a nylon / silicon hose (single ply?) I'll have to ask next time I stop by the NAPA. Dave

    Starting a multi

okay, Gimpy, I'll bite... What is a "TD block"? I searched, but searching for something this broad more or less returns the Los Angeles phone book! Thanks, Dave

slober tube plumbed back into intake?

+1 If you hook it up after the turbo, you will pressurize the crank case (blowing every oil seal on the engine). If you hook it up before the turbo, you are sending all of the venting "garbage" from the crankcase through the compressor on the turbo. Both are bad ideas. Gimpy hit it the nail...

    Interesting Seal Puller

The slide hammer I "rented" from Advance Auto had a nifty little tool that slipped inside the oil seal and then expanded into the steel carrier. Link with some pics...

    2011 Haspin BS/T-shirt thread.

I am officially in. The wife is a maybe. But either way we are in for two t shirts! I would have to come up with a pretty darn good reason for missing, seeing as how we are only 60 miles away! I can't wait to put some faces with usernames and avatars! Dave

    Trail Riding at Haspin 11-13-2010

Sorry Gimpy! Here are the vids --> And a Couple of pics to atone for my sins! It turns out that you don't have to have another Deuce to pull you out of the mud... You just need a buddy that has a WAYYYY over-sized winch on a jeep! We had a blast, and can't wait to catch up with some...

    Trail Riding at Haspin 11-13-2010

    Trail Riding at Haspin 11-13-2010

Yup, I know its short notice.... I had been thinking this may get into the last "warm"-ish weekend of the season. Maybe we can put together a Winter Wonderland Trail Ride in January. XanRa, Plans right now are to be at Haspin about 10 AM. We will << probably >> be the only Deuce and a...

    m35a3 wheel torque specs

Big Green Truck, I have to be honest, I'm not too familiar with the A3 variety (Mine is an A2). I found the wheel installation instructions in TM 2320-386-24-1-1 (WP 00175 00) . The A2 TMs are on the web site, but for some reason the A3 manuals aren't. The TM indicates that : " 6) Install...

    Trail Riding at Haspin 11-13-2010

I have decided to take the Deuce on a trip to Haspin this weekend. I know there had been a few members that were interested in making a trip with other trucks. I am planning on arriving at Haspin Saturday late morning / early afternoon. We don't plan on camping, but aren't sure when we will...

    Fuel Dilution... 9% !!!!

I finally got a chance to get some work done on the truck this weekend. I took Gimpy / FireFighterHill's advice and went ahead and bypassed the FDC. Thanks guys [thumbzup] I simply pulled the Tee off of the back of the FDC, plugged it with a pipe plug. Then pulled the drain off the side of...
