air pressure from an external source

Guys, Going to be doing some work on the M54 soon and I'd like to have air for the brakes, but without running the engine. Is there a convenient way that I can feed the system from my shop air compressor? Through one of the glad hands ? Or somewhere else (right into the air tank, perhaps?)...

    needed - passenger seatback cushion

Anyone have a passenger seatback cushion available? Just need one serviceable, nothing perfect, the rest of the truck is 20 years old and need not outclass it! I have no seatback cushion in mine, and the GF want to go for a cruise in the truck. Anyone have one that they can ship to Portland...

Just got a civi trailer on GL

Just had high bid on a civi trailer through GL. Will GL require a registration and license plate on the trailer before I can haul it off base ? A tow with no plates wouldn't be legal, but I'd only move it 3 miles on asphalt, I can take my chances there. Or if I load it on another legal...

    vendor listings ?

Probably in the wrong forum but I couldn't find anywhere that seemed really suited. Is there a page or thread listing vendors and what they specialize in? New/NOS stock suppliers, or even places parting out junked MVs. Would be appreciated, maybe it's here and I'm not finding it ??

Starting an LDS 465-1A engine after 3 yrs : UPDATE RUNNING

Yeah lollipopps but I like snickers better. Wait- what are you talking about? I've never paid much attention to the lighting other than noticing that the orange directionals are facing the wrong way.

Starting an LDS 465-1A engine after 3 yrs : UPDATE RUNNING

RE: Re: RE: Starting an LDS 465-1A engine after sitting 3 y Well here's the update fellas. Yesterday evening, I was a little flustered with the real world so I started to dig into the M54. I drained about 2 gal of fuel out of the tank and a few ounces from the filter. Everything looked...

    5 Ton Nameplate weights

I have antique plates on my 5T, I figure that means I can haul antiques? :-) In Maine, without a CDL we can legally haul spare parts for the vehicle and milk (I didn't write the laws). But I would have no objection to putting an M38 in the bed... No CDL needed here as it is not a commercial...

Starting an LDS 465-1A engine after 3 yrs : UPDATE RUNNING

RE: Starting an LDS 465-1A engine after sitting 3 years Pic attached, I hope. Just over 10k miles and I've owned it for 9 years now. It's looking a little tired, and the top needs some work - but she ran like a top and I'm excited to get her back on the road.

Starting an LDS 465-1A engine after 3 yrs : UPDATE RUNNING

Hi Guys. I just stumbled across this forum a few days ago, and it has sparked my interest in my M54 which has been sitting for a few years. Time to get that baby fired up and purring !! Engine is a LDS 465 1A, dated 1989. It has always ran perfectly for me. The last fuel fill was about 4-5...
