I am using 51R batteries they are 500cca and look like an oversized lawnmower battery I had read that this was the closest to the military size I think I may get some ridged foam and put that around the batteries
Thank you ratch I guess necessity is the mother of inversion it is a little unorthodox but looks like it works. I have spent time looking at the bottom of the unit trying to figure out what was there originally because thereally are no holes I can see where something was bolted or screwed
I'm trying to secure the battery's in my generator but there is very limited space for a generic tray what do you guys use in your units when the trays/clamps are gone?
Thanks that sounds good to. I have another question I tried to do my homework before spending money but I jumped and bought cable to hook up my generator and now I am second guessing myself I got 10/3 direct bury wire for my me 802 figuring 30 amps is this OK or should I have jumped up to 8/3...
I don't have a load bank but figured I would buy a couple cheep space heaters and use them do any of you think that would make a good cheep way of running the unit under load?
I can say the unit I bought a couple weeks ago in Chambersburg was a tier 2 reset with a rebuilt motor.I won't complain the motor has good compression and runs great there is signs of wet stacking and some small parts are missing but I am trying to get it back together and when it is all done I...
If any of the units that you guys picked up are going to be parted out let me know I am looking for a fuel stop solenoid with the arm that goes to the fuel line.
I did not watch the auction so just curious what did they go for as I posted previously I got mine for 800 and I have put all most that much into it between the batteries and fuel filter housing and filters and I'm still not quite done yet but it did run and it does make power so I think I'm...
I am purchasing parts now from kraft power in Ohio there number Is 1 800 835 5254 you have to call and try to have part numbers avalable that will help them find the parts
Thanks I will check hate to say it ebay I know gmg has them but they charge a steep price from the ones I have looked at and they don't show the part so I'm not sure if it just the solenoid without the wires or if the linkage to the fuel shut off is with it too.
Yes the three wire plug is still on the harness. I would like to put the correct linkage and solenoid back in the unit I don't know if I can get the correct harness. I'm not having any luck finding the wire harness or the linkage like the one in your photo. I have found a couple different...
Thank you for the pic it will help a lot my unit is missing the solenoid and arm to the shut off. All the ones I have seen for sale are just the solenoid no arm and no wires so now I have something to go on. Like I said previously I am not a mechanic but very willing to learn. So with this...
Tom would it be possible for you to post a pic of the solenoid in your unit or can you tell me if your solenoid has a L shaped arm on it that hooks on to something else
Tom is it possible for the unit to run without the solenoid I did some looking and found a skamatic drawing of the solenoid and approximately where it should be and it is not there I thought the solenoid was supposed to be attached to the fuel line to stop the flow? If missing where could I...
