    M1008 Wheel/Tire upgrade

I have been researching the tallest tire you can run on a stock 16" wheel without a lift or trimming and all the results seem to be from 2-5 years ago. The results seem to be between a 31 and 35" tire. Any body got any updated info on this matter. I pick up my first cucv on saturday?

    M1028 price check

I am waiting on a few more pictures from the truck I was offered saturday. I spoke with him yesterday and I believe it is the one I am going to get. The "worth" part to me is is based more on it being mechanically sound and not rusted out. At the same time, I don't want to be taken for ride...

    M1028 price check

I had another truck offered to me yesterday. It has a straight body, good paint, no rust on the body, surface rust underneath, 205 TC and a lot miles. It has had some work done to it with all the paper work. I'm thinking this might be it

    M1028 price check

She owns a working ranch too!!! The only mods I was going to do were the doghead relay, gp bypass. a small lift and wheels and tires. Maybe other essential mods people suggest. The mileage only concerns me because IF the 6.2s are not know for high mileage then I don't want to get one with a lot...

Would it be better to go with a mainstream carrier? I have been given quotes from $750-$1550. It can't imagine I could make the drive for less.

Converting back to 24 volt question

Thank you. I will send the one I am in contact with an email and ask how it was switched over. After being on here for the past month, the 24 volt system seems easy. Was the reason the military wanted 24v so they could run their equipment and tools? Patracy, we are just down the road from...

Converting back to 24 volt question

I have been looking for a M1028 and keep finding M1008 trucks that were I guess changed over to 12 volts by the fire departments that used them. They are usually in good shape at a fair price. My question is, is it possible (im sure it is) and economical to convert it back to 24v? Is it just...
