i am only one exit north of US-17 if you who are going want to meet up at just off exit(us17 #164 i think) let us know. i will be going to Naples for a 4th parade with some local guys but will be back right after.
so no one going to come out to the yacht club? if some other MVs show i would take mine, just stay out of the deep stuff. it all ways fun to pull out the weak, broken, stuck, swamped.
and if you go give loads of time to get in. every redneck, hillbilly, hick, and just fun loving boy, girl in the lower half of the state gets there early. long lines $30 a person a day or $40 for the weekend. bring fuel too..
looks like a good place, maybe we can get some MV to all get to gather for a ride up there. any one from here in southwest florida willing to go on a bit of a trip? and to that have any of you guys checked out the redneck yacht club as of yet? maybe a S.W. Fl small meet?
anybody?
help! its a m543a2 wrecker truck. need to know the controls on the floor between the seats and to the left back of the drivers. it seems the shifter toward the passenger is the pto, but if in the lock position with cover down the pto runs. is there three positions for the pto?
mine was painted many times over the years, od green, 4 color(with gray in it), tan, 3 color nato as it is now. parts of the cab in side are green and behind and under the seats tan. under the truck its tan, green, black. ?????? must have had some slow days.
he puts them on ebay and sells to fire departments. i have seen the Palmetto trucks some time back just never got a price for them. check Tampa craigslist as i think i saw a white truck on it.
so is there any one in florida with a wrecker truck? a local guy just bought one and is ready to play with it. any pointers?? here is his e-mail, alansr@lebeauconstruction.com
i told him of the our site and he needs to join and become friends with the service manuals.

i ran my '85 k5 with 38.5 swampers and a stock '76 454 for years, sold it that way. it handled like crap but was unstoppable! but come to think of it that thing went any ware you pointed it on 33's and no lift and the highly love 5.0 305 v-8...
now chevy in the early 90's had a 14 bolt 9.5"...
:-Doh yea i have gotten that (what the hell are you going to do with and why?) from some and others whom have known me for years just say it was only a matter of time. thanks guys for the responses its a very cool truck even tho it served only as an Army Reserve. i will have to make that...
ok fellow M.V. heads. i have only had my truck for a few days and have had just about every one who has seen it has asked me,
(whats the front bumper markings?)
any of you have any clue, and are these correct? this is how i picked the truck up. right side front says (ARMED) and the left...
for me never having had the old switch, as far as i can tell when you press serv. drive you get head lights, tail and brake lights, dash, turns. press park and the head lights go out. no front markers? black outs work, as dose the dimmer/bright for the dash. for day time running you have to turn...
here is this thing in my truck, yes the brake light sucks at first but is cool for security reasons. average joe thief will get pulled over for no brake lights before getting stopped for rolling in a stolen M.V.
LOL that's good one, but no it was a fun ride. i had blew out my knee at work just last tues. a total dislocation at the knee joint.. yea!!! but i maned up and drove my new truck home. it made me feel like a little kid with a great new toy, and the air horns, just great!!!!
