I am going to pull the secm body off my truck in the next couple of weeks to install a flatbed. would anybody on this board close to north Ga be interested in it? If so, you can e-mail me or pm me. If nobody wants, I will probably sell for scrap. BTW, It doesn't have a generator or anything in it.
Kid, didn't you have a 700r4 for a while before you got the cummins? My only holdup now is the adapter for the 205 to the 700r4. I can buy different output shaft from odff-road design but i don't know what to use to physically BOLT the two together. Do you know??:-?
Mine is really loud when it first starts in the morning. After 10 minutes or so on my drive it quietens down real nice. Most diesels I have had were that way. I thought for a minute when I first looked somebody had painted it brown. You'll love it, just don't be in ahurry to get...

Thanks for all the replies. The nv4500 is looking real good except for one thing, THE COST!!! Did those of you with 4500's manage to find any in the junkyard? I have been looking at 700r4 for around 1K rebuilt heavy duty with the appropriate torque converter, the 4500 conversion is looking to be...
Yeah, I am running 255/85/16 which measure out at ~33.5" didn't do enough, still not comfortable any speed over 62 or 63 for an extended period of time.

I have done searches for this topic on both trannys. What I am asking if anybody has done either of these swaps, what was the better combination in a M1008 or M1009. I have a M1031 that I want to drive faster than 60 on the interstate. Looking for input, thanks.
Mark
Sajer, good luck with your search. I bought my M1031 from a car lot, he was tired of trying to sell it, so I got it for 2200 bucksas
gwag, I agree with what you are saying, nobodys holding a gun to anyones head to make them stick around at a used car lot if they don't want to!!2cents
Is this the kind of paint you have have air blowing across it to dry properly? If so, what did you use for that? Looks good, BTW the truck, not you guys:roll:
