RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Suburban K20/CUCV M1008 morphing project
there were two wheel drive big blocks, but not a big block four by model in those years, im looking at a big block tbi 1990 model right now in the garage. it is the silverado trim with dual ac and its a two wheel drive. But knowing...
from ida34-The relay that usually sticks is the one that converts the 12volt connection from the stock ignition switch and converts it to 28 volt for the starter to engage. It is right next the the relay for the volt meter also. They are under the dash near the bottom of the column. Mine sticks...
so wait im confused. there is 2 critical relays inside the cab then? the one under the dash that is part number 1559178, and another critical relay under the steering column? Whats the part number to the one under the steering column? my starter is doing a runaway situation and i want to replace...
RE: Re: RE: Suburban K20/CUCV M1008 morphing project
only two wheel drive 3/4 ton suburbans with the big block came with the 14 bolts. The four by models came with the 12 bolts. it wasnt possible to get a 3/4ton big block four by model as it would have pushed the weight past the maximum gvwr...
all you guys in california must love the fact that chevy has a huge cucv parts deposit there. it seems everyhting i order from them comes out of california and takes 5 days to get here. I ordered that starter relay under the dash for 35 bucks. and just for giggles i went to a-zone to check out...
hello all was wondering if any of you had experience with the bypass filter systems available, more so the frantz system. I found a local company that has them for dirt cheap and was wondering what the actual filtration ratings are for these things using some regular non fragerance 2 ply scott...
RE: starter
does gm still supply the starter relays under the dash you all are talking about? I think i need one. Also these are what cause the starter to stick on correct? If i replace this will it solve the problem of the starter sticking? I just picked up a new gm starter so i should replace...
i wouldnt recomend burning used motor oil anymore after doing some research and talking to the guys at navistar, it is one of the worst things that is commonly confused as acceptable. Not only that but its highly toxic and illegal its a 1875 dollar fine in most states. the amount of junk in my...

you need to either filter it hot, or re-heat and filter to have any speed. I use a waste oil pump and a 1 micron filters setup and i filter hot. takes very little time to filter 50 gallons or so. Its worth the hassle. Any other questions let me know. Filtering is essential unless you dont care...
RE: Re: cucv fueling rate
Wow! i need to check in more often. I wanted to know what the required gpm flow to the engine was to keep it happy. Im thinking of putting an electric lift pump of a backhoe because i cant seem to locate the molded fuel feed line, the little rubber line of the fuel...
hello all does anyone know what the gpm requirment for these engines are? Also does anyone know where to get the little curved rubber hose on the fuel pump?
I just live for the stuff. less noise and no smell is the real winner for me with my blazer because i like to keep the rear window down or cracked. Got pics of your setup?
