    Electric fuel Pump install?

I just installed an electric and used it to prime the system then shut it off and ran with the mech pump just fine... haven't hit the highway yet, but it seems to work... I intend to find a good 'run' circuit to splice the fuel pump onto then remove and bypass the mech pump. {edited}Found a...

    Howdy from a Newbie

Been picking away at getting it running the last couple days... and hit it hard today. Yesterday: Topped off the batteries that came with it with distilled water and tried to charge... one held 10.3 V the other wouldn't go over 11.8... went and bought 2 new type 31's and put them on a...

    TM for Mep701a

I'm confused I thought 120/208 three phase was similar to what I learned as 240D: phase A to ground 120V phase B to ground 208V phase C to ground 120V A to B 240V A to C 240V B to C 240 V If so you just connect Phase A and C to your home panel and you have standard 120V phase to ground...

    Electric fuel Pump install?

Thanks for all the info and research so many have posted here. I'm getting my M1009 soon and want to do this mod. I've checked around for the Walbro.... to expensive.. and found the 88 Chevy Van pump (E8153) seems to be the best compromise in cost and performance... Airtex - Diesel...

    Hub Removal Tool

I've read the thread Doghead posted above and a few others... I'm confused about one thing... with the M1009's: what year requires the 6 lug tool instead of the 4 lug tool?

    Custom reciever hitch

EDITED: I bought the drawtight from a guy on ebay selling them a little banged up for cheap. I wire brushed off all the loose powder coat and rust spots, then hit it with a scotch bright medium pad to knock the shine off and prep it for paint... a little acetone after that to clean all the...

My first pick up... an M1009

I am planning on using a full trailer (the truck drives/gets pulled up) ramps and fully on the u haul trailer... I'll pick up the trailer here in Mobile then drive up to Redstone empty, as round trip is much cheaper than one way. So I take it that GL damages undercarriage/drive train stuff due...

    New M105A2

To me, the totally green newbie, who has hauled a few 9-12K trailers behind my 2500 HD with electric brakes (yes I know my truck isn't rated for it, but it did it just fine as long as I went slow and took smooth back roads), what you state above seams feasible and cheap... If I had a M105, I...

    New M105A2

i'm new to all this, but as I understand it, surge breaks are pure hydraulic... if the lunette isn't being pulled forward by the truck it shifts aft, engaging the hydraulic break harder as it goes further aft... The M105 has air breaks that actuate hydraulic breaks, so if one was to put a...
