I know they are the same thing...I am searching and not finding what I am looking for.
I changed my M1008 starter and noticed some teeth are missing on my flywheel. I saw one last week that claimed to be stronger and can't find it again. Any ideas?
What kind of flywheel do I need for the...
Yes, I did a search...I ordered a new starter from them looking for the best quality I could find. Other than that I know nothing about them, but what I read.
Power Strike Starters and Alternators, Industrial, Agricultural, Automotive (The link is not to an auction, but for a reference to...
Yes, I did a search. Do you think the gearvendor is worth the price?
I was reading about transmissions and none of them really jump out if you want a auto non computer trans. I was also thinking 6.2 replacement engines are way less than a Cummins and the gearvendor might let me get the most...
I have a stock M1008 that I plan on swapping the engine to a 5.9 Cummins in the future.
After looking into this I can go the expensive way and have it done or I can use my friend's garage shop behind his business that is closed down and screaming for a project. I know some engine guys that...

The first way the glow plug wait light still works and the second way the gp wait light works when the key is turned, but does not work when you push the manual button.
I guess the logical next question...

My fuel heater is no longer connected. Will that be a problem this winter?
Here's the pics:
So yesterday we finally dug my truck out of the snow and got it to town. I have been wanting to get things started badly. My brother was a big help in all this.
First we installed Optima D31A batteries with the trays to keep them locked down. These are huge batteries that will last a long...
Air Cleaner/Filter
Any standard filter designated for use in a K5/K30 should work. FRAM# CA3492 (or PRA3492); NAPA# FIL2096 (or 6096); K&N# E-1690 (expensive, but worth it!)I bought the K&N Air Filter. The old filter has some kind of dirt filter around it. Do I reuses this with my new filer?
I want to thank Mike for getting me going. :driver:
I traded for a M1008 and what I think is a M101A1 trailer. What parts should I get to keep on hand? I don't plan on changing anything about the vehicle, just want to keep it going. Thanks!
