Ballistic Kevlar is not the same as structural or finish Kevlar, so be informed if you buy a roll and fab something on your own. The weave is key, in addition to the layering.
For weight savings, this may be your best solution.
Also know that it won't be cheap. I too, am thinking of doing...
Yeah, I thought about that too but was really trying to avoid putting in any electrical dependencies (locks, windows, etc). I might break down and do the rear alone though, just the same.
I hate it when that happens, lol. Waiting on my next check for some more goodies (and a freakin hatch-window crank), myself. Currently shopping for new front seats. Think I found some good 2008 Jeep Wrangler seats that would look pretty good in it.
Speaking of seats, if I get the Jeep seats...
Ugh! Guess I won't be buying that from there, then. Anyone know of any good alternative sources? I have to say that the OEM is pretty bad too, not sure if it's worth the extra $ to get that.
Thanks, but like I said: my local Sherwin Williams store had no clue what I was asking for and couldn't find anything in their computer (I do suspect they are idiots, though). Maybe I'll just try a different one.
Where do you get it? Is there an online resource to purchase it? My local SW paint store looked at me all retarded when I asked about it, lol.
Also, how does the SW brand compare to Milsprays?
Thanks.
Yeah, I got some Rapco and wasn't too happy with it on the vehicle. It's ok for tools and junk though, so not a total waste.
I'm planning on getting mine from MilSpray, unless someone tells me not too, lol.
