On the 85 and up civi vehicles, GM changed the washer system over to an electric pump in the washer bottle. I swapped the wiper motor and bottle over to my m1031. Looks factory and works great.
Check the fuses on the govenor circuit. One is under the green cover panel for the govenor controls and one is at the main fuse block. Mine had a blown fuse and acted the same way. I agree the control wiring is a mess. I built new colored coded wiring harnesses encased in splitloom with...
The blower motor for the standard heater rotates clockwise. The blower for the arctic kit rotates counter clockwise. Four seasons part #35589 is the blower for the arctic kit. Part #35582 will work also. Ask for the blower off of a 84 S-10 pickup no ac.
You can get the seal from any auto parts store. Bolt #14022672 and key #106751 are available from GM. The washer #14022673 is not coming up but part # may have changed.
The steering column would be a straight swap from 84-87. 83 and back has the wiper switch on the dash. I will assume the cruise setup has the big transducer mounted to the throttle cable bracket. Just make sure you get all of the harness and switchs. There is a lt blue speed sensor mounted to...
There is a reinforcement bracket spot welded to the fenderwell. Water and dirt get behind it and rust the fenderwell away. If you get new ones, put a weld bead around the perimeter or at least seal it to solve the problem.
Check the rubber block off cap on #7 and the rubber return line they will crack right at their base and make it look like the the hard line is leaking. The injector top can sometimes loosen up when you attempt to loosen the line. Make sure its tightly threaded to the bottom of the injector
You will need the complete wiring harness from the Suburban. Your current underdash harness will not work with the underhood harness and TBI harness. You could make it work put will require a lot of rewiring. There are 5 main harnesses on the Suburban. The dash, engine,TBI, rear and forward...
I bought some from Chevrolet years ago. I dont know if they are still available. You might be able to find some in the junkyard. Look for a middle 80's s-10 Blazer. I dont know why they put s-10 blazer seats in the m1009 unless it was to save money on the contract price.
Paid 2050.00 for mine in Oct of 08. The prices seem to hold around 3000 to 3500. I got lucky on the price and the fact mine was complete except for needing batteries and of course the infamous GL Driveshaft.
It's only used on the M1010. It hooks up to the fuel pump for the ambulance box. I think it also gets used if you install the arctic kit. Just tape it back to the glow plug harness and it will be fine.
Not sure what the hole is actually for, but the pumps all have them and they don't leak fuel. The problem I see is the repaired injection line. The coupling looks like an ordinary compression coupling. It will never hold up to the line pressure the pump produces. You need to replace that line...
